We are following the award winning Eleventh Edition of the National Directory of Arts Internships. In future years, there will be no print editions of the Directory but the online version of the National Directory of Arts Internships will offer organizations more extensive and timely information and access to an even larger pool of interns.

The National Network for Artist Placement identifies various arts internships in every artistic discipline for emerging artists and a large pool of highly qualified artists and arts administrators who have already received grants from State Arts Councils, the NEA and many foundations. This group of artists will be contacted regularly and encouraged to explore the many opportunities you make available to them. This Directory, already a valued resource tool for thousands of talented artists, will be distributed to over 2,000 Fine Arts Colleges, University Career Centers, libraries, and individuals that regularly visit our on line publication. We also plan to make the online Directory available to many community and private arts organizations throughout the country.

The print Directory was selected as "One of the Best of the Best in education and career information print materials" by members of the National Education and Information Centers. It has been a particularly useful research tool for graduating artists seeking financial independence, relevant experiences and a hands-on opportunity to glimpse the "real arts world".

All artists should know about the dedicated efforts of organizations like yours. Even through difficult times, you and your colleagues continue to hold the doors of opportunity open for them. These are such difficult times. Each year the National Endowment for the Arts and most of the State Arts Councils seem to fund fewer and fewer individual artistss. Your ability and willingness to offer Internship positions is appreciated profoundly by the arts field.

We ask that you register and fill out the Intern Information Form. You will be able to update your listing at any time and add more listings as you needs require. You can make your listings active or inactive as best suits your needs. Once activated, your listing will remain active until you deactivate it or your membership expires.

The National Directory of Arts Internships has been offered for the past 20 years and has steadfastly endeavored to connect organizations like yours to new artists. We rely, in part, on a small processing and administrative fee from our listers to continue to provide our service and directory. Therefore, before your listing can become active you must join our service for $25. Our site supports fully-secure credit-card transactions. At your convenience and for a limited time, if you would also like access to the entire upcoming publication, please send an additional $10 ($35 total). You will also have online access to the listings for a limited period of time.
